Qatar's Emir Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al-Thani will visit Turkey on Thursday to meet President Recep Tayyip Erdogan, in his first visit abroad since the start of a diplomatic crisis with Saudi Arabia, Ankara said.
Al-Thani will hold talks on "bilateral ties and regional as well as international developments," the Turkish presidency said. Ankara has been major supporter of Doha since the standoff with Riyadh and its regional allies erupted in June, leaving Qatar diplomatically and economically isolated.
