Ex-president Cristina Kirchner won a Senate seat in Argentina's mid-term elections Sunday, capping a return to the political fray and guaranteeing her immunity from a slew of corruption charges.
Kirchner, who stepped down in 2015 after 12 years in power, took the seat despite trailing government candidate Esteban Bullrich in the key province of Buenos Aires
