In the past I've been less than complimentary about BB Cream for their lack of shades and the inability to eliminate shine, but things change and there are now a slew of new, improved products in the market to help cater for all skin types and tones. One in particular that I'm really loving right now is the Garnier BB Cream Miracle Skin Perfector for oily/combination skin. Those clever people at Garnier HQ realised that with makeup there's no such thing as one-size-fits-all, so they devised a range of BB Creams for different skin concerns. I have combination skin which means my t-zone tends to get really shiny and any sort of BB Cream is a no-go, at least for my forehead. This BB Cream however adapts to my skin, creating a really glossy, dewy base without the shiny t-zone! For more coverage on bad skin days I apply it with the Real Techniques Expert Face Brush, which helps buff it in seamlessly and create a smoother, more even base. The only downside is that it only comes in two shades - light and medium. Drugstore brands are notoriously known for their lack of colour options which is really frustrating because I end up spending more on a high end product that has the right shade. I use the Medium shade, which I can just about get away with. I assume it adapts to my skintone, but if you're quite dark than I wouldn't recommend this at all.
