Five people were killed and scores injured Sunday in a shelling on residential neighborhoods in western Aleppo launched by armed groups, according to Syrian security sources.

The armed groups targeted new Aleppo neighborhoods by missiles and mortar bombs, the sources added.

The shelling damaged houses and possessions, the sources said.
