Iraqi security forces on Tuesday thwarted a suicide attack Saidiya district southern Baghdad.
Spokesman for Baghdad operations command Brigadier Saad Maan said in a statement today that security personnel shot dead a man wearing a an explosive belt without any casualties among civilians.
In a related context, a security source said that military intelligence seized a car bomb before being detonated in the Iraqi capital Baghdad. The suicide attacker who was intended to detonate the car bomb was killed, according to the same source.
