Baghdad - Arab Today
Bahaa al-Araji, Iraq's former vice president of the Council of Ministers, urged an immediate action to expel the Turkish forces which entered the northwestern Iraqi city of Mosul.
In press statements on Saturday, he said Baghdad should adopt a clear stand regarding the international coalition and the intelligence alliance with Russia, Iran and Syria for fighting Daesh.
He attributed the entry of Turkish military forces into Iraqi territory to what he called the axes war based in the region, calling on the Iraqi government to avoid going into the midst of such wars.
He said "the entry of Turkish military forces into Iraqi territory represents a clear violation of Iraq's sovereignty as a state."
"The entry of these forces is not without a prompt from the international coalition led by the United States," he said, referring to the entry of the Russian military arsenal to the region.
