As many as 26 terrorists were killed in Iraq during a security operation in Samarra, the Defense Ministry said in a statement on Wednesday.
Conducted in collaboration between army and police, the operation resulted in the killing of 26 terrorists, detonating two booby-trapped boats, destroying two vehicles with machine guns, and shelling four other vehicles with rockets, the statement added.
Meantime, the Iraqi army in Saladin Governorate continued their advance in Baiji, inflicting great damage to the Daesh group militants.
