Nicholas Brendon's publicist has confirmed the television actor and his wife Moonda Tee have split up and plan to divorce.
The couple married in Las Vegas last October.
"I am officially announcing that Nicholas and his wife, Moonda Tee, have parted ways," Brendon's representative posted on Facebook Thursday night.
"Nicholas expressed that Moonda is truly a 'beautiful person' and that he 'wishes her the best that life has to offer.' We know that there will be rumors and gossip, but we ask that Nick's privacy be respected during this difficult time. Things like this are never easy."
No reason was given for the breakup.
A later Facebook posting said the 43-year-old Criminal Minds and Buffy the Vampire Slayer actor would be appearing at Florida's Shock Pop Comic Con this weekend. Brendon also tweeted a photo of himself relaxing by a pool Friday.
