Televenola actress Lorena Rojas died Monday after long battle with cancer. She was 44.
The Mexican star was reportedly surrounded by friends, family and her boyfriend as she took her last breath at her Miami home. Rojas was diagnosed with breast cancer in 2008. By 2013 it had already metastasized to other parts of her body.
The actress is best known for her roles in multiple telenovelas including El Cuerpo del Deseo, Alcanzar una estrella and, most recently, Rosario. In 2014, inspired by her daughter, Rojas recorded her first children's album and third overall Hijos del Sol.
Rojas' daughter, Luciana, will now be in the care of her sister Mayra Rojas and the girl's stepfather.
Following the news of her death multiple stars has payed their respects to Rojas on Twitter.
