Jeremy Jackson was arrested Saturday in Southern California for allegedly stabbing a man and fleeting the scene.
The former Baywatch actor was identified by the wounded as 'Hobie,' his character on the show.
Police arrested Jackson the day after while he was prowling around the neighborhood where the incident took place. He was taken into custody for assault with a deadly weapon, the LA Times reports.
Los Angeles Police Detective Joe Rios. said that officers received a call that a man was being stabbed with a knife. The man was then taken to Los Angeles County-USC Medical Center to treat the stab wound in his left upper torso.
The actor told TMZ that it was purely self defense. Jackson first claimed that the wounded, who he describes as a "gangbanger with a clown tattoo on his face," was attempting to rob him and eventually pulled a gun out and Jackson retaliated by pulling a buck knife from his jeans.
Jackson previously admitted to Access Hollywood that he has suffered with drug addiction in the past which essentially led to his decision to leave Baywatch.
