The overall Producer Price Index (PPI) in the Palestinian Territory reached 98.31 in September 2011, an increase of 0.62% compared to August 2011, Tuesday said a report by the Palestinian Central Bureau of Statistics (PCBS). PPI for exported products reached 100.33 in September 2011, increasing by 2.18% compared to August, while PPI for local consumed products reached 98.11 in September, indicating an increase of 0.46% compared to August. PCBS traced the changes of PPI for September to changes in prices of several major activities compared to the previous month, including  a 0.42% and 2.01% decrease in prices of agriculture goods and fishing, respectively. Prices of mining and quarrying increased by 2.96% while prices of the manufacturing group increased by 1.12%, concluded the report.
