The International Monetary Fund expressed worries Thursday that Hungarian legislators were poised to reduce the independence of the country's central bank. "We are carefully examining the recent legislative proposals with respect to the central bank, and erosion of central bank independance would be a great concern," said IMF spokesman David Hawley.
