China hopes the G20 summit could reach a consensus of growth and stability, and turn this consensus into practical actions, Chinese Vice Finance Minister Zhu Guangyao said here Wednesday. "Facing the real economic challenges in the globe, the G20 summit should help stabilize the European market and recover the global economy," Zhu told a press briefing by the Chinese delegation on the eve of the summit. "Only through reaching consensus and making concrete actions can the G20 realize its goal of strong, balanced and sustainable development," Zhu added. This year’s G20 summit, under the French presidency, is slated to be held on Thursday and Friday in the resort city of Cannes.
