The Tadawul All-Share Index (TASI) reflecting the double bottom yesterday, closed below the break-even line losing a nominal 9.27 points or 0.13 percent to reach at 7,095.76 points level. The trading range narrowed to 41 points for the day. Saudi sector indices performed in a mixed fashion, with seven sectors accumulating an aggregate of 212 points and eight sectors paring 206 points collectively. Multi-Investment and Building & Construction sectors were key gainers of the day, advancing more than two percent and one percent respectively. The market breadth was negative as out of 154 issues traded yesterday, 55 were up and 76 were down while 23 remained unchanged. The Kingdom Holding made the biggest jump up 6.48 percent among heavy weights. The company also performed well among all Saudi equities, closing at SR 13.95, ranked fourth. However, Samba Financial Group continued its downward fall for the second straight day, going down 1.69 percent to close at SR 46.8. Insurance companies continued to show the best performance among all Saudi stocks, with Allied Cooperative Insurance Group - ACIG surging 9.95 percent and Amanah Cooperative Insurance 8.01 percent. Share trading activity remained high as compared to previous day; turnover went up by 35 percent in terms of volume and 12 percent in terms of value. Dar Alarkan Real Estate appeared to be the most active stock for the day. Its volume set sold about 69.7 million shares, which are about 21.2 percent of the overall market. From arabnews
