The contest between bulls and bears ended without any significant change at Saudi stock market yesterday as Tadawul index retreated to 6,666.8 points, which was roughly where it began the session. The Tadawul All-Share Index (TASI) while wavering in the North-South within a range of 26 points, closed just below the break-even line losing a nominal 3.22 points or 0.05 percent. Saudi sector indices performed in a mixed fashion, with eight sectors accumulating an aggregate of 92 points and six sectors trimming 99 points collectively. Insurance remained the best performing sector for the second consecutive day, rising by 2.5 percent further. Six out of top ten market cap companies ended the day in green. Kingdom Holding and SABB performed well relatively, achieving a growth of 1.28 percent and 0.61 percent respectively. However, the heavyweight SABIC (Saudi Basic Industries Corp.) slipped 1.15 percent to close at SR 86.25. Market breadth was positive, whereby 68 symbols closed in green and 59 closed in red, while 27 remained unchanged. Allied Insurance and Saudi Integrated Telecommunication outperformed for the second straight day, surging by a maximum of 10 percent for the day.
