The Qatar Exchange was down on Wednesday 17.28 points or 0.21% to 8,232.01 points from the previous closing of 8,249.29. The volume of shares traded was up to 4,028,703 from 3,566,430 Tuesday, and the value of shares increased to QR152,877,324.68 from QR128,753,662.18 Tuesday Among the top losers were Industries Qatar whose share dropped 0.91% to QR131.10 , Qatar Telecom lost 0.68 to QR103.00, Barwa Real Estate fell 0.91% to QR27.25 and Doha Bank down 0.54% to QR55.70. Among the top gainers were Qatar National Bank which was up 0.38% to QR131.50, Electricity and Water rose 0.83% to QR134.00 and Islamic Insurance gained 2.52% to QR61.10. Today the Qatar Banking and Financial sector added 1.34 points while the Insurance sector gained 4.05 points. The Qatar industrial sector lost 5.36 points and the Services sector up 2.73 points.
