Tokyo stocks jumped 1.75 per cent Friday morning, mirroring gains on Wall Street and in Europe, after the European  Central Bank unveiled a plan to help ailing eurozone countries. The Nikkei 225 index at the Tokyo Stock Exchange rose 151.98 points to 8,832.55 by the break, while the broader Topix index of all first-section shares gained 1.56 per cent, or 11.19 points, to 730.19.
