The benchmark index of the Indian equities market opened flat on Monday with the 30-scrip sensitive index of the Bombay Stock Exchange, Sensex, opening at 18,756.31 points, 3.48 points or 0.02 percent higher from the previous close of 18,496.01 points. The Sensex is expected to consolidate on Monday tracking weak global cues, while investors will look forward for additional measures throughout this week from the government to boost Asia's third largest economy.
