The Eid Al Fitr holiday for the financial markets will start on Friday, August 17 (corresponding to 29 Ramadan) and will run until the third day of Shawwal (Hijri calendar), the Securities and Commodities Authority (SCA) said today. The SCA said that the transactions will be resumed on the fourth day of Shawwal. The SCA took the opportunity to congratulate President His Highness Shaikh Khalifa Bin Zayed Al Nahyan, His Highness Shaikh Mohammad Bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice President and Prime Minister of the UAE and Ruler of Dubai, members of the Supreme Council and ruler of emirates, and the UAE people, on the advent of Eid Al Fitr and to express best wishes of good health for them.
