As part of the efforts by the organizers of the Bahrain International Airshow to involve the national companies to participate in major international events hosted in the Kingdom of Bahrain, His Excellency Ahmed Al-Nemah, Acting Undersecretary of Civil Aviation Affairs at the Ministry of Transportation and Telecommunications (MTT) and a member of the Supreme OrganisingCommittee of the Bahrain International Airshow (BIAS) signed a contract with Aluminum Bahrain (ALBA), one of the leadingglobal aluminum smelters, to mark their golden sponsorship of BIAS 2016.

BIAS 2016, which is scheduled to be held at the Sakhir Airbase in the Kingdom of Bahrain from January 21 to 23, 2016 under the patronage of His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa, King of Bahrain, and under the supervision of His Highness Shaikh Abdullah bin Hamad Al-Khalifa, the Personal Representative of His Majesty the King and the Chairman of the SupremeOrganising Committee of BIAS, is organized by the Ministry of Transportation and Telecommunications and Royal Bahraini Air Force and in cooperation with Farnborough International Ltd.

On this occasion, Ahmed Al-Nemah stated "The participation and support of Alba in the Bahrain International Airshow in an example of the pivotal role played by Bahraini companies in the aviation industry and the success of the airshow. It is noteworthy that most of the aircraft structures are made from aluminum and Alba has made significant contributions worldwide to the aerospace industry and we are proud of the company’s continuous support of the Bahrain International Airshow.

BIAS 2016 will feature a special hall to display unmanned aircraft (UAV) as well as a dedicated wing to exhibit special equipment and services used to develop infrastructure of airports which will provide opportunities for interaction and communication with exhibiters and visitors.
On the sidelines of the exhibition there will also be various activities which will include a "Host

the Buyer" program and a conference titled "Air Transport in the 21st Century" which will be held during the first two days of the show. In addition, a special symposium for the leaders of the Middle East aviation industry will be held a day before the opening, at which main issues of the industry will be discussed.

Several international companies have now confirmed their participation at the Bahrain International Airshow 2016, including BAE systems, Boeing, FLEX an Italian Company, Rostec(Russia), Qatar Airlines, Gulfstream and Airbus and other companies working in the civil and military aviation sectors.
