Assistant to the president for national projects Ibrahim Mahlab has called on French companies to increase their investments in Egypt.
Addressing the inaugural session of the French investments conference, organized by Al Ahram Hebdo in Cairo Tuesday in cooperation with the French embassy in Cairo, Mahlab said Egypt enjoys infrastructure necessary for establishing projects.
Mahlab, a former prime minister, praised the state efforts to lure more investments and get rid of bureaucracy which impedes investments.
The president's aide described the conference as a message to the French companies to invest in Egypt.
He appealed to French tourists to come Egypt to enjoy its beauty, safety and resorts which are considered the most beautiful in the world.
For his part, the director of the French chamber of commerce and industry Hassan Bahnam pointed out that there are 130 French companies working in Egypt, pointing out that France is one of the most important countries investing in Egypt.
