Cairo - MENA
International Cooperation Minister Sahar Nasr on Saturday attended a ceremony to sign a cooperation agreement between the Long Live Egypt "Tahya Masr" Fund and the Egyptian American Community Foundation (EACF).
The agreement aims to raise funds for a fresh project designed for providing material aid for the homeless children's housing, health and educational needs.
Addressing the ceremony, the minister called for using "children in need of care" instead of "street children" to describe those who need the right environment to live a better life enabling them to be positive members in the community.
She added that paying attention to these children is the essence of a comprehensive and sustainable development process.
The minister said she put those children among the ministry's key priorities in the coming period, by making contacts with several development institutions to provide them with the necessary support to ensure the preparation of citizens who are able to change.
