Minister of International Cooperation Sahar Nasr conferred on Monday with Director of the French Development Agency (AFD)'s Office in Cairo Stephanie Lanfranchi and French Cultural and Cooperation Adviser Mohammad Abdallah on spheres of joint cooperation and future projects between the two countries.
The French side noted that Director of AFD Middle East and North Africa (MENA) Department Marie Helene is expected to pay a visit to Cairo soon to attend a celebration marking the 75th anniversary of establishing the French agency.
Nasr, for her part, praised the role played by the AFD in enhancing bilateral cooperation as the agency has contributed to funding several important projects in Egypt, especially the third metro line, small and micro enterprises, extension of natural gas to homes as well as projects in the water, sanitation and agricultural fields.
France has carried out several vital projects in various sectors, including the medical equipment of New el Qasr el Aini Hospital, information system of Bibliotheca Alexandrina, sanitation, water projects as well as aviation monitoring and control systems
