The Egyptian non-oil exports rose by 7.6 percent to 17.353 billion dollars in the period from January through November 2016, compared to 16.126 billion dollars in the same period in 2015, a report said Wednesday.
The increase was estimated at 1.2 billion dollar, the export council’s report elaborated.
The construction material exports jumped to 53 percent, to hit 4.4 billion dollars during Jan-Nov 2016, compared to the same period in 2015.
Also, the value of jewelry exports registered a notable increase as it was estimated at 2.3 billion dollars, compared to only 587 million dollars last year.
The UAE had the largest share of Egyptian exports with 1.4 billion dollars.
Steel exports also increased by 28 percent to reach 358 million dollars compared to 280 millions in Jan-Nov 2015, the report added.
