Egypt’s Minister of Aviation Sherif Fathy and Cyprus transport minister Marios Demetriades on Tuesday signed an Air Transport Agreement (ATA) to boost cooperation between the two sides.
The deal was concluded during a meeting attended by Cyprus Ambassador in Cairo and the accompanying delegation.
The contract aims at increasing cooperation between the two sides in aviation security and safety maintenance, Fathy said.
Under the agreement’s appendix, the points of operation would be expanded and consequently lead to an increase in the number of flights operated by both sides, the minister said.
In the same context, Demetriades said the agreement would improve air service cooperation between the two sides.
