Foreign ministers of the Economic Cooperation Organization (ECO) member states held a meeting on the sidelines of the UN General Assembly meeting in New York.During the meeting hosted by Turkish Foreign Minister Ahmet Davutoglu, whose country holds ECO\'s rotating presidency, the ministers conferred on the performance of the organization and its future prospects and approaches.Iranian, Pakistani, Turkish, Afghan and Azeri foreign ministers also raised their country\'s views about the regional cooperation organization\'s record of performance in the last year.Also, ECO Secretary-General briefed the member states on the latest developments and achievements in the organization.The next ECO summit is scheduled to be held in Baku.ECO is an intergovernmental regional organization established in 1985 by Iran, Pakistan and Turkey for the purpose of promoting economic, technical and cultural cooperation among the member states.The organizations\' members include the Islamic Republic of Iran, Islamic State of Afghanistan, Republic of Azerbaijan, Republic of Kazakhstan, Republic of Kyrgyzstan, Islamic Republic of Pakistan, Republic of Tajikistan, Republic of Turkey, Republic of Turkmenistan and Republic of Uzbekistan.
