Forty-eight ships transited the Suez Canal on Wednesday, with a total cargo of 2.6 million tons.

The south-bound convoy included 20 vessels carrying 785,000 tons, while the north-bound convoy included 28 ships carrying 1.815 million tons, according to a statement issued by the Suez Canal Authority.
