Forty-seven ships transited the Suez Canal on Tuesday, with a total cargo load of about 2.640 million tons.

The south-bound convoy included 25 vessels carrying 1.420 million tons, while the north-bound convoy included 22 ships carrying 1.220 million tons, according to a statement issued by the Suez Canal Authority.
