Forty-two ships transited the Suez Canal on Wednesday, with a total cargo of 2.239 million tons.

The south-bound convoy included 15 vessels carrying 839,000 tons, while the north-bound convoy included 27 ships carrying 1.4 million tons, according to a statement issued by the Suez Canal Authority.
