Suez Canal

The world's biggest container ship crossed the Suez Canal on Sunday with 191,000 tons of cargo on board.
The container ship started its first sail during last February from Spain en route to Malaysia, a well-placed shipping source at Suez Canal Authority said in statements Sunday.
The waterway which connects the Mediterranean and Red Sea is one of the country's main sources of foreign currency reserves, along with tourism and remittances from Egyptian expatriates.
