The world's biggest cargo ship transited the Suez Canal Monday, coming from Indonesia en route to the Port of Rotterdam in the Netherlands.
The container ship was hoisting the flag of Panama, a source with the Suez Canal Authority told MENA.
It was carrying 19,244 containers laden with 200,000 tons of cargo, the official said.
The ship crossed the waterway in 12 hours, he added.
