Tunisian President Beji Caid Essebsi met on Monday with Director of the Middle East and Central Asia Department at the International Monetary Fund (IMF) Masood Ahmed at the Palace of Carthage.
The International Monetary Fund (IMF) is willing to back Tunisia’s economic transition after the success of political transition, Masood Ahmed said during the meeting.
He indicated that Tunisia is able to achieve higher growth in the years to come.
The meeting also focused on the economic situation in Tunisia and the region and its development prospects.
