Cargo weights that passed the Suez Canal on Wednesday hit a record of over three million tons.
Sixty-two vessels transited the Suez Canal, carrying a total of cargo of 3.660 million tons.
The south-bound convoy included 30 ships carrying 2.324 million tons, while the north-bound convoy included 32 ships carrying 1.336 million tons.
