Cairo - MENA
Prime Minister Sherif Ismail said Tuesday his government is keen on quickly implementing development projects across Egypt to go into effect as soon as possible.
This should help improve the quality of services offered to citizens, Ismail said in a meeting with Ismailia governor Yassin Taher on the issue.
Governors should always follow up progress achieved in implementing the development projects, the premier said, noting that this should be done in coordination with the ministries and bodies concerned.
The governor reviewed a detailed report on projects implemented in 2016 and others that are currently being implemented in the Canal city.
Those projects include the New Ismailia City, the silo complex in el Qantara Sharq, roads and bridges, not to mention a project to extend utilities to industrial zones, Taher said.
Implementation rates are in line with the set deadlines, the governor assured Ismail.
