Cairo - MENA
Ministry of Oil and Mineral Wealth said Monday it did not receive any new notices from Saudi Arabia's Aramco company on the oil supplies that were halted last month by the Saudi company without determining the period of suspension or giving any reasons.
In statements on Monday, Oil Ministry Spokesman Hamdy Abdel Aziz said needs of the local market will be met through offering international oil bids.
Meanwhile, the spokesman denied news reports that Oil Minister Tareq el Mullah paid a visit to Iran, noting that the minister is currently participating in Abu Dhabi Oil Exhibition and Fair.
In October, Aramco informed the Egyptian General Petroleum Corporation (EGPC) of its inability to supply Egypt with shipments of petroleum products.
