Tanfeedh - meaning implementation - is a programme created by the government to help steer the Sultanate away from its reliance on oil and gas. 

Last Friday, two people died and seven were critically injured afterice announced. A further 34 were treated for moderate to minor injuries and emergency airlifts were organised for those critically injured. The Ministry of Health also implemented an emergency plan to treat the wounded.

in Barka on Sunday. A Royal Oman Police spokesman said the woman stabbed the man to death then called them to report the crime. She alleged he had been threatening to reveal intimate photographs of her to her friends.
