Kuwait Red Crescent Society is sending shipload of relief supplies to Sudan following recent destructive floods, the chairman said on Monday.
Dr. Hilal Al-Sayer said, in a statement, the ship set sail early today toward Port Sudan, noting that the cargo includes detergents, mattresses, dates and kitchen utensils.
A team of volunteers is flying to Sudan to oversee distribution of the relief supplies to those who were affected with the recent floods.
The society has been sending aid to Sudan since August 2013.
Up to 11 planeloads of supplies had been dispatched to the Arab nation, along with ships with 275 tons of aid supplies on board.
