Anti-corruption and protection of business integrity will be the main topics of discussion at a meeting grouping anti- corruption and business integrity executives in the GCC states on Monday in Riyadh.
The meeting will review a draft law for protecting public funds in the GCC states and guiding principles for enhancing efficiency and optimising performance at departments in charge of safeguarding business integrity and combatting corruption in Gulf countries.
Recommendations made by Gulf workshops on benchmarking GCC practices against global standards and criteria in areas of business transparency and integrity will be among issues to be reviewed during the meeting.
Other topics of discussion include the launch of the Ideal Employee Recognition Award at GCC departments in charge for ensuring business integrity and combating corruption, a proposed code of ethics and a feasibility study on launching a Gulf transparency index.
The visit paid by representatives of anti-corruption departments at the GCC to the Rule of Law and Anti-Corruption Centre and the International Centre for Sports Safety in Qatar will be among the issues to be reviewed by the meeting.
Prospects of organising anti-corruption awareness events will be discussed by the meeting as well.
