Egypt's fuel smart card system is set to be activated in 2017, Planning Minister Ashrad el Arabi said on Sunday.
The ministry is technically ready to apply the long-planned smart card system at Egyptian gas stations, said the minister in statements to MENA.
On Saturday, Spokesman for the Ministry of Petroleum Hamdy Abdel Aziz announced the start of the experimental operation of the second phase of the fuel smart card system, without setting limited quantities and at the current prices.
