Remittances of Jordanian expatriates rose by 2.4 percent at the end of April, 2017 standing at $1.168 billion (JD820 million) compared to $1.114 billion in the same period of 2016.

Remittances of Jordanian expatriates are one of the major sources of foreign exchange along with tourism income as well as grants and foreign loans.
