Aghtia Group will join Emirates Red Crescent (ERC)

Aghtia Group will join Emirates Red Crescent (ERC) in implementing an Iftar project for those fasting, organised locally by the ERC during the Holy Month of Ramadan, by donating water bottles and sponsoring two Iftar tents in Ajman and Fujairah.
The project is a response to the 2017 Year of Giving initiative, and aims to support the ERC’s humanitarian initiatives during the Holy Month. It is also part of the joint social responsibility between the ERC and many public and private sector institutions.
Mohammed Yousuf Al Fahim, Deputy Secretary-General for Support Services, Marketing, Donation Collection at the ERC, said while receiving Eng. Tariq Ahmed Al Wahidi, CEO of Agthia Group, at the headquarters of the ERC in Abu Dhabi, that the ERC is organising a range of charity and humanitarian projects inside the UAE during Ramadan, to implement the directives of its supreme leadership.
He highlighted the Ramadan Iftar tent project, considered among the ERC’s most important Ramadan projects in its 10 local branches and its other branches around the world.
During the meeting, Al Fahim stressed that Agthia Group’s initiative is an efficient contribution to the ERC’s humanitarian efforts with its partners under the framework of their joint social responsibility, to support vulnerable segments of society on the national level, in co-operation with the UAE public and private sectors.
Al Wahidi stated that the group is contributing to the Year of Giving initiative by supporting the ERC’s projects and initiatives during Ramadan and throughout the year.
He also praised the ERC’s local and international role while stressing that the group has always been a major partner and supporter of the ERC’s programmes and humanitarian projects, to enhance the lives of vulnerable categories of people in the UAE.
The meeting was attended by Adel Ali Al Fahim, First Deputy of the ERC Chairman for Institutional Affairs, and Mohammed Abdullah Al Yamahi, Head of the Donations Collection Department.
