Egypt, Sudan sign agreement

Egypt and Sudan on Saturday signed two agreements for cooperation in the implementation of infrastructure and sanitary drainage projects in Khartoum province worth dlrs 800 million.
Sudanese Minister of Environment and Forests Hassan Abdel Qader Hilal signed for his country, while Board Chairman of Arab World For Financial Investment (Lokma Group) Ahmed Lokma signed for the Egyptian side.
Egypt's Ambassador in Khartoum Ossama Shaltout attended the signing ceremony.
In statements to MENA, Shaltout said the agreements come within the context of economic and investment relations between the two countries which have witnessed notable growth recently.
The total size of direct Egyptian investments in Sudan reached dlrs 11 billion, the ambassador said, noting that the coming phase will witness pumping more Egyptian investments to Sudan.
