Investment Minister Ashraf Salman said an economic conference that was held in Sharm El-Sheikh last month has put Egypt on the world's investment map and boosted foreign investors' confidence in the Egyptian economy.
The minister made his comments in a symposium at Cairo University.
The minister said the private sector has an important role in the development process.
The event was attended by Planning Minister Ashraf el-Arabi and businessman Naguib Sawiris.
