Damietta Port received eight ships over the past 24 hours, the Media Center for Damietta Port Authority said in a statement on Thursday.

They included four container ships and four cargo vessels, the statement added.

Also, four container ships and six cargo vessels left the harbor, according to the statement. 

Meanwhile, 40 ships anchored outside the port pending finalization of entry procedures, it said.

The grain and cereal silo is currently holding 100,044 tons of wheat, the statement said.
