Engineer Saad Mohamed al-Amin

An agreement was signed Sunday at the Ministry of Defence for establishing Zalenge and De'ain airports at the cost of 25 million dollars.
The agreement was signed by the Commander of the Engineers Corps, Maj. Gen. (Engineer Saad Mohamed Al-Amin for the Ministry of Defence and the Director of the Holding Khartoum Airports Company, Engineer Mohamed Abdul-Aziz.
The agreement's signing was attended by the Chairman of Darfur Regional Authority (DRA), Dr. Al-Tigani Al-Sessi, the Minister of Defence, Lt. Gen. Abdul-Rahim Mohamed Hussein, and a number of Darfur deputies at the National Assembly.
Meanwhile, Dr. Al-Sessi has welcomed the initiative of the Ministry of Defence, represented in the Engineers Corps, in implementing the two airports, stressing the importance of the two airports for the people of Darfur region.
He affirmed the commitment of Darfur Regional Authority to provide 75 million dollars in support of establishment of Zalenge and De'ain airports.
The Minister of Defence stated that work in implementing the two projects will begin immediately and in accordance to the international standards and criteria of the Civil Aviation Authority.
He said that establishment of the two airports comes in response to the state directives and in compliance with the strategic plan for implementing a network of Sudanese airports.
