A number of officials discussed with the Chinese Ambassador to Jordan Pan Weifang during a field visit to Maan Development Zone on Monday, means to promote investment ties between the two countries.

During a meeting with a number of economic, investment, academic figures as well as representatives of various sectors in Maan in the presence of Investment Commission (JIC) President, Thabet Al Wir, the Governor of Maan Husni Qudah and Director of Maan Police Colonel Omar Al Khudeir, the ambassador voiced his country’s keenness to forge closer ties with Jordan in the investment, tourism, humanitarian services and renewable energy fields.

He pointed to talks with Jordanian officials to implement strategic projects related to infrastructure, renewable energy and railways du to investment privileges offered by Jordan to Chinese companies.

The JIC president spoke about studies and plans that aim at improving economic conditions in the Man Governorate and attract investors.
