The deposits of the banking sector has increased by 33.8 billion pounds by the end of January 2015 to hit 1.593 trillion pounds compared to 1.559 trillion pounds by the end of December 2014.
The hike was driven by the increase of non-governmental that rose by more than 22 billion pounds in January 2015, said a statement on Wednesday.
