Participants in the Jordan-hosted First Arab Maritime Forum suggested a recommendation to be reviewed at Egypt's economic conference, slated for March.
At the end of the two-day gathering on Wednesday, the participants called for developing the naval fleet industry through an Arab strategy, encouraging the private sector to invest in this field and upgrading Arab harbors.
They also recommended developing a mechanism to hone the skills of the maritime students and provide them with job opportunities.
