The works of the Algerian-Qatari group of experts started Friday evening in Doha (Qatar), with view of preparing for the fifth Algerian-Qatari High Joint Commission scheduled for Sunday (November 23rd).
The experts meeting is devoted to “the preparation of 15 documents (conventions, memorandums of understanding and executive programmes) before submitting them for review and signature to the High Joint Commission, chaired by Prime Minister Abdelmalek Sellal and his Qatari counterpart Abdullah bin Nasser bin Khalifa Al-Thani,” said the general director of the Arab countries department at the Foreign Ministry and the president of the Algerian delegation Adelhamid Chebchoub, on the sidelines of the meeting..
Many sectors are represented in this meeting, including energy, industry, education, higher education, public works, and agriculture, he said.
The cooperation between Algeria and Qatar are “privileged and diversified,” said the president of the Algerian group of experts, citing the project of the steel plant in Bellara, the project of transformation of phosphate into fertilizer, in addition to the joint Algerian-Qatari investment fund.
Algeria and Qatar are bound by a series of conventions signed, during the last session of the joint commission in various fields, including mines, maritime transport, oil, gas, petrochemical industry and agriculture.
