The Alexandria Port Authority decided on Tuesday to close the Alexandria and Dekheila straits for the second day in a row over bad weather and high wind velocity.

The decision is meant to prevent any collision of ships and ensure safety of maritime navigation, said the authority's spokesman Red Ghandour said in statements.
